I tried to make it "cool" (in a Grandma's way of thinking)
I even embroidered a sample letter for him to review....
Nope...nothin' doin'
On Wednesday's, a whole lot of crafty people get together and share their
But alas, all I have to share for WOYWW is the simple lettering requested by Aidan....nothing fancy....
I decided I better keep it simple as requested......
Cause this ain't nobody this
Grandma wants to tangle with!
Happy WOYWW #152 !

Oh Aidan! Enjoy those knees that work now in your youth! I just love his tough guy look. I can see why you don't want to tangle with him. How sad, just plain simple lettering. Maybe someday, Grandma!

I wouldn't want to tangle with him either...great pix and post!! Thanks for stopping by my blog and asking after Alaska. I do love it. Came for the summer 36 years ago, and never really left. I live in the Matanuska Valley which is literally rimmed with majestic mountains and I thank the Lord every chance I get for the amazing work he did in making such a beautiful place. When I first moved here, it was quite rural, now it's taken on a bit more suburban feel - but only in some places. There is no zoning, which is very weird, and there are some odd folks here. The war cry is "we don't care how they do it outside" (outside being anywhere but Alaska). But I don't much pay attention to those folks, laugh at the people who think sitting through a stop signal twice before they get to go is terrible traffic (my folks spent many years in the San Diego area, and I have relatives in the Bay area), and still get a thrill every time I see an eagle, which is actually pretty often. Maybe if you don't want to move, you could take a little trip!!
ReplyDeleteSara, that sounds exactly as I envision it to be. Alaska is definitely on the list for us to visit. How amazing it must be to be surrounded by such beauty! I grew up in San Diego...small world. Your home sounds like a breath of fresh air in more ways than one...I have to say, I'm a little jealous :)
DeleteOh kids are great..they grow up to fast.. and it's great being a grandma and I was Sooooooooooo great having 2. in the wee hrs playing catch up between storms. Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.
